Our Story

The East Columbus Maker Meetup began as a small gathering of local educators from several of the educational makerspaces in schools on the eastern side of Columbus, Ohio.  Meetings rotated between the Reynoldberg Batelle Fab Lab and the makerspace in Lincoln High School.

Over time, several community makers joined the group, eager to share skills and ideas, growing the group into a vibrant community hub. The group eventually started to meet at the MakerSpace in the Point @ Otterbein University.  Meetings were coordinated via the meetup app/website.`

Following a hiatus during COVID several members resumed the meetup – eventually moving the meetings from The Point to the Westerville Public Library.  We also switched over to guild.host to organize the monthly meetings.
